Treatments
Synergy In general, "synergy" refers to a combination of actions such that the total effect is greater than the sum of the individual actions. For example, when we take one good habit — say good nutrition — and add energy work along with exercise, these three actions combine with one another to provide a greater reward because they all enhance each other (i.e., the holistic-wellness philosophy of Synergy Body Therapy). For Amy, this means an artful combination of therapies, such as deep tissue massage and zero balancing, that brings about greater results than the individual therapies could achieve when applied separately.
Relaxation Massage Circulatory Benefits of Full Body Work. The treatment goal is relaxation (not deep tissue massage), which is achieved by using a softer touch and lighter pressure. Stress reduction is an added benefit. The mind and body connection is improved, allowing for a better-balanced lifestyle.
Zero Balancing can help relieve body aches and pain, release restrictions in movement, and provide lasting relief from emotional distress to improve overall quality of life. Zero Balancing, an energy work, can also be helpful with specific goals such as relief from back muscle pain, improving concentration or sleep, releasing unwanted stress, eliminating old behavior patterns, or boosting well-being.
Deep Tissue Massage enhances the mobility of soft tissue, with the focus on specific body areas. When significant, chronic muscle pain is caused by muscle spasms (tightly contracted fibers), those specific areas will receive more intense therapy (increased pressure for a longer duration).
Neuromuscular, Trigger Point, and Myofacial Therapies are three examples of Deep Tissue Massage. Muscle pain relief calls for concentrated, deeper work. As the muscle pain recedes, your mind and body connection becomes more active, helping you to become a better guardian of your health.
Treatment Enhancements
Pre- & Post-Centering Phases. Pre-Centering is a discussion between client and therapist about why the client has come in for treatment. Your history of muscle pain or strain and overuse or underuse scenarios is noted. Post-Centering is a debrief after the treatment. How does the client feel now? If there are strategies that will help the client until the next massage takes place, they will be suggested by Amy at this time (i.e., stretching or strengthening exercises, possible changes in repetitive-use habits, posture, sleep patterns, etc.).
Wellness Philosophy. Both of these phases are part of our Wellness philosophy. We are interested in your health 24/7, not just the hour you spend on our table. Treatments can vary in techniques used. A single treatment can include any or all of the following: relaxation/stress reduction, deep tissue work, Zero Balancing (energy work). Each of these techniques enhances your mind and body connection.
At Synergy Body Therapy we use only Pavonia high-quality oils. These are spa-quality oils that can be purchased only by professionals: They are not available through normal retail outlets. In addition, only chemically-free botanic ingredients are used, which means our treatments are allergy-free.
Aromatherapy can be added to your massage to promote relaxation, reduce stress, and restore lost balance between mind and body.
